This week we have been learning about Add and subtract using compatible numbers here is some working I have done using this strategy!Here is a the strategy we have been learning to do.

a) 7 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 7 - 10 -10 = 4

b) 1 + 5 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 4 - 9 - 7 = 8
c) 7 + 18 + 9 + 2 + 3 - 12 - 20 = 7
d) 28 + 12 + 5 - 40 = 5
e) 24 + 16 + 4 + 3 + 5 - 7 - 40= 5
f) 12 + 15 + 8 + 6 + 7 - 20 - 21 = 7

One day 5 girls were walking to school and they got there and they didn't see anyone so they went to their classes they all scream and run outside what was that they say with no delight.. strategy we have been learning is place value place value is if we had the number 2534 there is 2 thousands 5 hundreds 3 tens 4 ones. My favourite part about learning place value is actually learning it and finding out what it means.
