The day the children would never go through short cuts again.
Once upon a time Me and my Friends Claudia, Dakota ,Olive. were going somewhere. But when we were walking we found the forest and it said do not enter but we didn't lisen cause we thought it would be a shortcut to where we were going to. So we went through the forest. Some of my friends thought it would be really scary and a slender man would pop out but me and Claudia didn't believe them until.. This big creepy black and white clothed guy comes out from behind a tree.. We all scream ¨AHHHH¨. Wait.. if he's been behind the tree the whole time that means.. ¨HE'S BEEN FOLLOWING US KNOW WE KNOW WHY IT SAID DO NOT ENTER!¨ We all just keep walking and not thinking about the black and white clothed person we just thought was an old man going for a walk. So we took care of walking. Where nearly there! But the black and white clothed man walks out of nowhere and says `` Peek a boo I found u´´ Claudia says It cant be it can't!! ITS SLENDER MAN!!!´´No it's not we all yell with fair. No little girls, it's me, a slender man.. We all scream the loudest we have ever screamed to maybe signal someone to tell them that we are in trouble. But we could not scream loud enough. We all ran as fast as we can and than we saw light and we all said YAY we found a exit. And then we never ever went that way again.

This week we had to make a mask that is themed of Christmas or something personal.

For the past 3 days we have been learning about what covenants are. Here is my slide show on what covenants people have made

The past 2 days we have been learning how to make symmetrical art! This is what we made today, I made a dragon from one of the movies ive seen!

The past weeks we have been learning about bad things for our interment and what is hurting the animals! Here is what i write about how it is hurting animals and ways it can stop.
Plastic Pollution.
Every year there are more than 200 million tons of plastic being made. But if there were only 200 million tons of fish right now and there were 200 million tons of plastic.. There would be more plastic than fish and we don't want that to happen because then there will be more sea creatures being extinct.
In the ocean there are sea animals and they are getting harmed from plastic bottles and bags. They are getting stuck inside of turtles and fish. The sea animals don't know that it's plastic so they ashroom that it is food for them to eat so they go and eat it. And then the next day they would have trouble staying alive or even breathing because they have plastic stuck inside their lungs or even their body.
If you were a fish or turtle would you like it if that happened to you?
There are tons of solutions to fix this problem like recycling plastic bottles and not leaving them on the ground. But there are even cooler things you can do with plastic bags or bottles. You can make scopters of different things by just melting the plastic bag or bottle down! There are many more ways but there is 1 really good one. Recycling plastic things would save tons of sea creatures because instead of just throwing stuff on the floor or out the window you could just throw it in the trash so it can be made into something else.
Conclusion: If you could do that it would save tons of animals from not becoming extinct! “ If you were a fish would you like having plastic stuck in your lungs so you can breathe and maybe not live again?” Imagine this you where a fish just going around in the sea and you see something and you don't know what it is so you go look at it and then you think its food so you eat it and then a couple more days latter you don't feel very well you feel ill and you can't breathe very well. Well that is what heaps of sea creatures go through a lot of the time.

For inquiry we have been learning about technology our first activity was to fill out our brainstorm of making a catholic Christmas decoration for Miss Rooney's library!. Miss Pownall is getting some fabric so that we could sew. I decided to make a star.

The past 3 week we have been learning about our interment and what is wrong and bad for the earth me and Claudia have made a slide show about plastic and how it is bad ;)

On Friday the 21st of October room 2 went to the dump.
At the dump we met up with our instructor Georgia and she tough what the colour bin represent and what goes in each bin and how to make compost bins.We got to make compost bins and learn what we put in the compost bin!My favourite part was learning new things about and finding out what things goes into each bin.

Today the whole school went to the hall and met 2 people from Africa and 1 from Christchurch. They showed us how to use African drums and how they work my favourite part was getting to go on the drums.

The Spookiest Week Of My Life…
One day 5 girls were walking to school and they got there and they didn't see anyone so they went to their classes they all scream and run outside what was that they say with no delight.. I don't know says Mayah. It can't be, It was as loud as a elephant .they can't be, they all say! Is it a ghost...? Oh no what do we do all our parents are at work! We should mabey look inside? Ok..they are all Claudia Ocea Dakota Emilee. No says Mayah and PaigeThey walk in and the door closes oh my gosh what was that! OoOoO! AHHHHHH. How will we get out now see I told you this wasn't a good idea..

Today we meet Emma Twigg a rowing gold medallist. Emma walked into the hall and everyone was amazed that they got to see Emma. We did a welcoming haka that the kappahaka performed. Then we sang the national anthem. Emma Twigg came up onto the stage and told us about what she does in her life and how she is so good at rowing. Emma told us that she trains 5 hours everyday. After that people asked her questions like why did you start rowing and heaps of other questions.

Emma Twigg Proves People Wrong

Emma Twigg won the Olympic gold medal for New Zealand in Tokyo Japan last friday.
"I can't believe it. Honestly, crossing the line it was disbelief,"
When the race started, Emma Twigg was coming 2nd. When they got to half way some of the other countries started slowing down so Emma Twigg went off and took over! It was really unexpected when the other countries started to slow down and Twigg went into action and came 1st.
Twigg was born in Napior on March the 1st 1987.She was 2014 world champion and won gold in her fourth Olympics in Tokyo July 2021.Previous Olympic appearances were in 2008 (ninth place), 2012 (fourth place), and 2016 (fourth place).She is a New Zealand Olympic women single scull medalist.
In conclusion…
We can't wait to see Emma back in the Olympics. She did a great job this year!Hopefully she can add to her colton of metals when she crosses the line again!This week we have been learning about the Olympics/Emma Twigg. We had to answer how we feel about sports and add what our favourite sport is!

We were reading books about Huias and how the last Huia to bee seen was in the 19´s.
There were questions we had to anser about the Huia and here were the questions!
Structure
| From Being alive to death. 5 verses. Some of the words rhyme. Yes there is repetition. I think it does i'm not sure tho. |
Meaning What is this poem about? What is the poet’s message? | The story is about the Huia and how it is not alive anymore and the last Huia to be seen was in the 19´s.In the Poem they talked about how the Huia could sing really goodly.It also talked about how amazing and beautiful there feathers were. |
